A Book For Healing From Addiction

Finally, a holistic guide to aid in healing from alcohol and drug addiction with better nutrition!

Fuel Your Recovery outlines the small changes that can improve your health and success in recovery. In addition to examining common nutrient deficiencies and how to reverse them, it guides your journey through meal planning, effective hydration, stimulating your appetite, and increasing rest.

In Fuel Your Recovery, Nicole Fetterly shares how she battled her addictions to alcohol and cannabis for over a decade. And yet her life as a professional dietitian remained separate from her struggle for personal wellness. Once in recovery, she discovered that most treatment programs didn’t directly address the nutritional deficits, appetite loss, and changes to the gut microbiome that result from prolonged alcohol and drug abuse. After completing a four-week in-patient treatment program, Fetterly was inspired to bring together her professional expertise and her personal experience with addiction and recovery to help others heal and thrive long term.

Praise for Nicole

Kelby, Mental Health Dietitian

Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing your personal experience and expertise. Our world needs more of that and your story is such an inspiration and good example of why we should be very careful to check our biases especially when it comes to addiction. You're an inspiration! Truly!!

Amazon Review

This book provided a lot of information coupled with a story of her life in addiction. I wish the author continued good health and hope the many out there with addiction issues can feel free to share their stories.

Richard, Psychotherapist

This is such a great offering for addiction. I have advocated for this for well over a decade about the importance of nutrition and gut health in my recovery work with clients and for myself as a recovered alcoholic.
